There are various options when it comes to the selection of hard drives. It is also very beneficial to choose the right hard drive efficiently. My personal favorite is the 2TB 7200rpm RAID hard drive with SuperSpeed used by LaCie should be more than enough for storing tons of video files and other important researches. Besides, you can also add a second hard drive to the mix and double the storage capacity all the way to 4GB.

Motorola ATRIX: Overview

It seems that Motorola have endeavored to match the processing capabilities of modern computers with the ATRIX model. Attempting and succeeding with such a feat could place them high in the rankings of the smart-phone world but is all that power under the chassis really justified by its usability?

The ATRIX runs the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, that can be upgraded to the most recent 2.3 Gingerbread system, and hosts a vast collection of the most popular smart-phone features. The system runs on a 1GHz Tegra 2 processor that matches the speed of most top end phones, so doesn’t exactly place it above the market leaders in terms of power but the phone does surprise with what it does with that power.

A variety of docks exist in the hardware to cater for a plethora of connections. The syncing dock allows the phone to be used as an alarm clock, amongst other options; a media dock consisting of three USB ports allows the device to run on a monitor or TV screen whilst the Bluetooth connection can be utilized to turn the phone into a computer keyboard when the media dock is connected.

A mode known as “Webtop” can be used through syncing the phone with the laptop dock and gives the user the ability to use the phone to drive Firefox software on a larger screen; something really quite unique from the Motorola team.

This phone stands out as an individual in a market full of copycat models but this unique quality has come at a price, a fairly large price to be exact, but with such a multitude of accessories and connectivity options it could well be worth it. it’s available on pay as you go phones as well as contract phone deals.

It is easy to get excited about new mobile phones, particularly creatively designed models that promise such things as the ATRIX does, but this Motorola handset could really provide inspiration for new ways of using processing power and maximizing the benefits of such power.

Looking for the right phone deals

Mobile phones have become such an important part of our lives that it is extremely hard to imagine a time without them, even though this time for most of us was only around 15 years ago. And with phones now having all kinds of diverse uses nowadays we all expect different things from our phone and therefore own our phone for different reasons, combine this with the fact that there are literally thousands of different phone deals out there to chose from it can be a tough choice to make deciding on your phone deal. Here are a few things to be aware of when buying your phone.

Pay as you go or contract deal?

Both of these deals have their own merit and basically it depends entirely on your budget. On pay as you go you have no worries about running up a phone bill as you can only make calls and texts when you have credit so if you don’t intend on spending a great deal every month this may be for you. On the other hand though you usually get a free phone when you sign up to a 12 or 18 month contract so for many people this could make spending that little bit more money as worth it. Also many people feel that customer service becomes better when you sign to a contract, this may sound rather cynical but often with networks this is the case.

12 months versus 18 month contract

If you did decide to go for a contract phone rather that buying a phone and a pay as you go sim, you generally have a choice of two contracts, 18 or 12 months. The longer contract is generally better value for money as you are tied down for longer so, for instance, if you are looking for Orange mobile phones you may get a lower monthly tariff for the same phone on an 18 month contract. The down side of this is that you will be contracted for 6 months longer and it will cost you to cancel the contract should you wish to do so.
